STAKEHOLDERS FORUM 2025
On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the second edition of PV CYCLE Belgium’s Stakeholders Forum took place at the Van der Valk Hotel Brussels Airport. It was a key moment of dialogue and reflection among industry players and authorities, focusing on the growing challenges of solar panel recycling and reuse.
The morning kicked off with a presentation by Johan Goossens, Country Manager of PV CYCLE Belgium, who looked back on the key lessons of 2024 and shared the preparations needed for the upcoming phase of growth.
Two of our Belgian recycling partners, Lien Riepen (BNE Trading & Recycling) and Cécile Naveau (Recma), shared their field experience on the recycling of PV panels in Belgium.
Karsten Wambach, an independent consultant, then presented an overview of current practices and challenges in PV waste management across Europe. Finally, Serge Noels, also a consultant, spoke about the ongoing efforts to develop a uniform standard for the reuse of solar panels.
A warm thank you to all speakers for their valuable insights, and to all participants for their presence, interest, and constructive contributions. This forum once again highlighted the importance of collaboration to ensure a sustainable future for the solar energy sector.
