2025, new record year

Following an exceptional performance in 2024, PV CYCLE Belgium continues its strong growth. In 2025, a new milestone was reached with 1,785 tonnes of collected and treated solar panels, representing around 90,000 panels.

This marks a 20% increase compared to the record year 2024. The figures confirm a clear trend: while the market for new solar panels is slowing down, the inflow of end-of-life panels is rapidly increasing. This is partly driven by repowering, where older installations are replaced by newer, more efficient panels.

The sector is thus entering a new phase, in which end-of-life management is becoming increasingly important. PV CYCLE Belgium therefore continues to invest in a high-performing collection network and efficient processing to sustainably manage these growing volumes in the future.
